相比传统核电站,小型模块化反应堆(SMR)被认为是更有前景的选择。SMR体积更小、建造时间更短、成本较低,可根据用户需求灵活调节发电量,发电无碳排放,被视为应对人工智能"吞电巨兽"的重要力量。亚马逊、谷歌等公司均透过与SMR供应商签订购电合约,积极布局这一被寄予厚望的新型核电技术。
作为SMR领域的先行者,NuScale Power昨日盘中股价大涨42.14%。此前有消息称,亚马逊将投资超过5亿美元开发SMR技术,并与竞争对手X-Energy共同合作。谷歌也已达成类似协议。NuScale Power一跃成为资金追捧的热门标的,体现了市场对这家公司未来发展前景的乐观期待。
