Hyatt Hotels (H) stock plummeted 6.67% in the pre-market trading session on Thursday, following the company's disappointing fourth-quarter 2024 earnings report and weak 2025 guidance.
Hyatt reported Q4 adjusted earnings of $0.42 per diluted share, significantly missing analysts' expectations of $0.75. The company's revenue for the quarter came in at $1.60 billion, down from $1.66 billion a year earlier and below analysts' estimates of $1.66 billion.
The disappointing results were attributed to weaker-than-expected business and group demand during the quarter, despite strong leisure travel. Hyatt's comparable revenue growth across its managed, franchised, and serviced properties was just 5% in Q4 and 4.6% for the full year 2024.
