据公司财报显示,贝哲房屋第一季度每股收益仅为10美分,远低于去年同期的70美分,也大幅低于华尔街分析师预期的31美分。尽管该季度总收入达到4.69亿美元,高于预期,但净利润的大幅下滑引发了市场的担忧。
公司CEO Allan Merrill在财报电话会议中也承认,新房销售环境充满挑战,其中德州和佛罗里达州市场表现最为疲软。由于这两地区库存水平较高,公司不得不通过促销折扣等激励措施来刺激销量。高库存和促销折扣无疑加大了公司的压力。
