渣打银行的分析师杰夫•肯德里克表示，如果对美联储独立性的担忧持续下去，比特币可能会升至历史高点。他表示，由于其去中心化的账本，加密货币是对现有金融系统风险的一种对冲。在特朗普因希望降息而暗示他可能会罢免美联储主席鲍威尔之后，美国国债的风险就体现了这一点。肯德里克说，投资者购买长期国债相对于短期国债的收益率溢价大幅上升，这令比特币受益。
