AI stocks surged in premarket trading. BigBear.ai rose 15%; Rezolve AI rose 7%; Cerence rose 4%; SoundHound AI rose 3%; Nvdia and Tempus AI rose 2%; Palantir and C3.ai rose 1%.
BigBear.ai said on Wednesday that it has appointed Kevin McAleenan as Chief Executive Officer and member of the board, effective January 15, 2025, succeeding Mandy Long.
Mandy Long will step down as CEO and from the board, transitioning to serve as a company advisor.
McAleenan currently serves as BigBear.ai’s President and has government and business experience working with U.S. national security agencies, including serving as Acting Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The company also filed to sell 161.68M shares of common stock for holders.
