Shares of Cerence Inc. (CRNC) skyrocketed 66.46% in Friday's intraday trading session, fueled by the company's announcement of an expanded collaboration with chip giant Nvidia (NVDA) to advance its CaLLM family of language models for automotive AI.
The collaboration will leverage Nvidia's AI Enterprise cloud platform, including TensorRT-LLM and NeMo frameworks, as well as the Nvidia Drive AGX Orin chip. This will enable Cerence to optimize and customize its CaLLM models, delivering faster in-vehicle assistant performance, enhanced privacy and security, and the ability to develop next-gen user experiences with advanced agentic architectures.
