4月19日晚，蔚来正式发布了旗下第三个品牌萤火虫的首款电动车型。该车型起售价为11.98万元人民币，较此前14.88万元的预售价下调了约20%。这一定价策略引发了市场热议，被认为极具竞争力。蔚来创始人李斌表示，即使在这一价位，萤火虫仍有一定毛利，这对公司来说至关重要。
萤火虫的推出被视为蔚来挑战奔驰Smart和宝马MINI等高端小型车市场的重要举措。尽管野村证券认为萤火虫的目标市场相对小众，预计2025年销售贡献不会太大，但市场对这一新品牌仍表现出强烈兴趣。据报道，萤火虫发布后，门店试驾已开始大排长龙，甚至带动了蔚来其他车型的销售。
值得注意的是，蔚来此次推出新品牌是其多品牌战略的重要一步。李斌强调，多品牌战略有助于覆盖更广泛的用户群，同时通过技术共享实现成本优化。蔚来还设定了2025年第四季度实现盈利的目标，萤火虫的成功将对这一目标的实现起到重要作用。
