Shares of Anhui Expressway plummeted 6.87% on Monday, following the release of the company's third-quarter earnings report which showed a significant decline in profits.
The Chinese construction and infrastructure management firm reported a net profit attributable to shareholders of 411.2 million yuan ($57.9 million) for the quarter ended September 30, down 19.57% compared to the same period last year. Earnings per share fell by the same percentage to 0.2479 yuan.
The company's operating revenue also dipped 1.47% year-on-year to 1.99 billion yuan ($280 million) during the third quarter. Anhui Expressway's disappointing financial results led to a sharp sell-off in the stock, which closed at HK$8.76 in Hong Kong, down 4.47% on the day.
