全球玩具巨头孩之宝在2024年第三季度再次出现销售下滑,主要是由于消费者在全球通胀持续的影响下,收紧了玩具等非必需品的支出。数据显示,孩之宝第三季度销售收入同比下降13.8%,连续第九个季度出现下滑,且降幅超过预期。

尽管销售不佳,但孩之宝通过一系列成本控制措施,如削减供应链成本、剥离eOne真人秀资产,以及专注于利润率较高的数字游戏业务,使得公司第三季度利润率达到25.7%,较上年同期的22.8%有显著提升,超出了分析师预期。公司还通过压缩库存水平来降低成本,第三季度库存下降达39%。

尽管成本控制缓解了销售疲软的影响,但孩之宝仍被迫下调全年收入预期。公司预计,消费品部门全年收入将下降12%至14%,而此前的预期是下降7%至11%。这反映出玩具行业的整体需求仍然乏力。与孩之宝面临类似压力的还有竞争对手美泰儿公司,其也在第三季度财报中下调了全年销售预期。
