Nokia Oyj (NOK) stock soared 6.56% on Monday morning's pre-market trading session, following the company's impressive showcases and partnerships related to 6G and 5G technologies at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona.
One of the key highlights was Nokia's collaboration with NTT and DOCOMO, where they successfully demonstrated the In-network Service Acceleration Platform (ISAP), a core component of the Inclusive Core mobile network architecture designed for 6G and IOWN use-cases. The demonstration exhibited improved AI analysis performance, from a 57% "correct answer rate" to 90%, by applying ISAP to real-time video data transfer.
Additionally, Nokia announced that Boost Mobile, a major U.S. carrier, has become the world's first mobile operator to deploy Nokia's cloud-native 5G Voice Core on a public cloud. This deployment allows Boost Mobile to accelerate the delivery of advanced 5G services, enhance network automation, and reduce infrastructure costs by up to 70%.
