24H|U.S. Steel Soars 17%; BigBear.ai and T-Mobile Surge 8%; Alibaba Jumps 4%

US President Donald Trump said he will announce on Monday 25% tariffs on all imports of steel and aluminum. Relevant U.S. companies will benefit from this.

U.S. Steel surged 17% in overnight trading, while Cleveland-Cliffs jumped 8%, Nucor rose 7%, Alcoa rose 0.5%.

Chinese ADRs jumped in overnight trading. YINN rose 5%; Alibaba, Bilibili, and Li Auto rose 4%; NetEase and JD.com rose 3%; PDD Holdings, NIO, and Baidu rose 2%.

T-Mobile US Inc.’s tie-up with Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites for texting and data usage off the grid will cost customers $15 a month after a free testing period, the carrier said Sunday. T-Mobile US shares jumped 8% in overnight trading.

BigBear.ai shares jumped another 8% in overnight trading after soaring 103% last week. These gains primarily stemmed from the company’s recent contract awards from the Department of Defense (DoD).

Semtech shares sank 25% in overnight trading after the chipmaker warned about missing its sales outlook for fiscal 2026 due to rack-architecture changes.
