美国最大的炼油公司马拉松原油(MPC)近日公布了第三季度业绩,数据显示归属于公司的净利润同比大幅下滑。公司表示,这主要是由于燃料需求疲软导致炼油利润缩水所致。
具体来看,马拉松原油第三季度的净利润为6.22亿美元,合每股收益1.87美元,而去年同期为32.8亿美元,合每股收益8.28美元。该公司的炼油和营销利润率为每桶14.35美元,较去年同期每桶26.16美元显著下降。
不过,马拉松原油董事会同时宣布了将股票回购规模增加50亿美元的决定,将其总回购授权额提高至85亿美元。这一决策被市场解读为公司看好自身长期发展前景,加之回购计划将推高每股收益,因此可能成为推升马拉松原油当日股价大涨5.15%的主要原因。
