Robotics ompany Dobot Corp Ltd rose another 24% on Thursday after a 27.5% rally on Wednesday as shares have been included in the list of eligible securities for Southbound Trading under both the Shanghai Connect and the Shenzhen Connect. Additionally, the company unveiled its innovative humanoid robot, further boosting investor confidence.
DOBOT recently launched the world's first embodied intelligent humanoid robot "Dobot Atom", which features "dexterous manipulation + straight-knee walking". It also unveiled a new generation of embodied intelligent robotic product "RoboPilot".
Dobot Atom, a full-sized bionic humanoid robot designed for industrial-grade precision operations, is aimed at addressing the current operational limitations and lack of adaptability of robots in industrial and service fields.
RoboPilot, as a robotic arm deeply integrated with AI edge computing capabilities to build a digital nervous system, truly achieves an intelligent closed loop of "perception is decision, decision is execution" through real-time environment modeling and decision optimization algorithms.
Founded in 2015, Dobot specializes in collaborative robots, or "cobots," that work alongside humans in settings such as factory floors. The company offers 27 cobot models for use in manufacturing, retail, healthcare, research settings and others, according to its prospectus.
Dobot describes itself as one of the top cobot players globally and No. 1 among Chinese cobot companies, with global market share of 13% as measured by shipment volume in 2023, citing an industry report it commissioned.
