据彭博消息，知情人士透露，中国移动探索收购香港宽频，以期扩大在港业务。
消息人士称，中国移动一直在与香港宽频的大股东私募股权公司MBK Partners和TPG Inc.就收购事宜举行会谈。据悉中国移动暗示愿意每股出价至少5港元，这将使该公司估值超过65亿港元（8.35亿美元） 。
知情人士称，中国移动已经对潜在收购进行了尽职调查，目前正在与MBK和TPG就价格进行谈判。消息人士称，他们可能坚持要求更高的估值，现在还不能确定双方是否能达成一致。香港宽频股价今年迄今上涨24%，市值达到约57亿港元。
知情人士透露，包括私募股权公司在内的其他买家仍然对香港宽频感兴趣，有可能还会出现一个买家。中国移动和香港宽频的代表暂未回复记者询问。 MBK和TPG的发言人不予置评。
