9月24日，据路透社报道，CrowdStrike（CRWD）的一名高管将在周二向国会为该公司7月的一次全球IT宕机事件道歉，该事件由一次错误更新引发。
根据报道，CrowdStrike高管亚当·梅耶斯（Adam Meyers）将在证词中表示：“我们对此深感抱歉，并决心防止类似事件再次发生。我们已对系统进行了全面审查，并开始实施计划，加强内容更新程序，以确保我们从这次经历中成为更强大的公司。”
在宕机事件后，CrowdStrike首席执行官乔治·库尔茨（George Kurtz）于7月被要求在国会作证，此前国会议员Mark E. Green和Andrew Garbarino曾致信要求讨论该事件。
Wedbush Securities称此次国会作证是CrowdStrike的“关键时刻”。
CrowdStrike的一次错误更新导致运行微软（MSFT）Windows操作系统的电脑出现“蓝屏死机”，并导致多家航空公司停飞，影响了金融服务、医疗等多个行业。
微软在7月表示，大约850万台Windows设备受到影响。
目前，CrowdStrike正与达美航空（DAL）陷入法律纠纷，达美航空因宕机事件提起诉讼，声称此次宕机给公司造成了5亿美元的损失。
