据知情人士透露，瑞银集团在其大本营瑞士掀起了一波裁员浪潮，最近几周已有数百名员工收到下岗通知。不愿公开身份的知情人士称，本轮裁员波及高级管理层和低层员工。知情人士说，下岗员工可以参加一项计划，用最多一年的时间在公司内部找到新职位。
正在整合原竞争对手瑞信的瑞银此前就已开始裁员。该行曾表示最终将在瑞士减员约3,000人。瑞银发言人表示，公司将把因整合而在瑞士和全球范围内裁员的人数保持在最低水平。
与瑞信合并后，该行截至2023年底在瑞士拥有约35,000名员工。
