2025年2月24日，据媒体报道，星巴克宣布裁掉1100个工作岗位，并缩减菜单中30%的产品，以扭转销售额下滑的局面。
这是自2018年以来，星巴克首次裁员。被解雇的员工将于当地时间2月25日收到消息。为了简化运营、缩减菜单，星巴克还减少部分星冰乐、拿铁等混合饮料产品，并称这些产品并不常见，制作起来很复杂。
星巴克董事长兼CEO布莱恩·尼科尔在致员工的一封信中说，星巴克将裁减1100个目前有人任职的岗位，以及“数百个”空缺职位。尼科尔此前就宣布了即将进行的裁员，称公司层级过多。“我们的目的是提高运营效率，加强问责制，降低复杂性，并推动更好的整合。”尼科尔称。
2月25日，星巴克称“中国的伙伴不在此次全球沟通范围内”。“星巴克坚定看好中国市场的广阔前景。我们将继续秉承高质量、可盈利、可持续的发展策略。”星巴克中国称。
