Major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are up—along with U.S. equities—after the Federal Reserve on Wednesday held interest rates steady and the central bank's chair gave a calming press conference.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is expected to deliver a speech at Blockworks’ Digital Asset Summit (DAS) in New York City on March 20. This will be the first time a sitting U.S. president has addressed a Bitcoin and crypto conference, highlighting the growing influence of digital assets in mainstream financial policy.
Bitcoin was up more than 4% to break $86K. Ethereum has also gained 8%, trading at $2,034, while XRP is leading the surge after soaring 10% to $2.47 in the same period.
Crypto stocks also jumped on Wednesday. TeraWulf Inc. rose 12%; Strategy, BTC Digital, Hut 8 Mining Corp, Bit Digital, Inc. and Bitfarms Ltd. rose 7%; Riot Platforms and Coinbase Global, Inc. rose 5%; MARA Holdings rose 4%.
