导致核电概念股重挫的原因是,美国联邦能源管理委员会否决了一项允许亚马逊公司数据中心直接从宾夕法尼亚州核电厂获取电力的协议。去年3月,亚马逊网络服务公司向Talen Energy公司支付6.5亿美元,购买了一个毗邻宾夕法尼亚州Susquehanna核电站的数据中心园区,并签署了向Talen公司购买核电站电力的长期协议。
但监管机构最终否决了该协议。核电行业寄希望于与数据中心等新兴行业建立直接供电关系,以期获得新的商业模式和收益增长点。因此,此次监管否决引发市场对整个核电行业前景的担忧,导致包括NNE在内的多家核电相关上市公司股价应声下跌。
