业绩不及预期是引发股价下跌的主要原因。公司此前公布的年度业绩显示，去年净利润同比增长2%至94亿元，低于市场预期。美银证券在最新研报中指出，公司盈利未达预期主要归因于收入增长低于预期、投资物业公允价值损失、联营公司收入减少以及对少数股东的分配增加。受此影响，美银证券将中国建筑国际的目标价从15.3港元下调至12.4港元。
值得注意的是，中国建筑国际近期完成了向东方国际发行2.446亿股认购股份的交易，募资近30亿港元。尽管如此，花旗银行仍维持对该公司的"买入"评级，目标价14.5港元不变。花旗认为，此次向国有资产管理公司溢价配股对公司基本面影响有限，预计交易完成后，公司的资产负债率将从去年的70.4%下降至68.6%。然而，市场似乎对公司的短期前景仍持谨慎态度，导致股价持续承压。
