美国破产法院法官克里斯托弗·洛佩兹本周一驳回了强生公司（J&J）提出的100亿美元和解方案。该方案旨在了结数万起指控其婴儿爽身粉等含滑石粉产品引发卵巢癌的诉讼。这是强生第三次通过破产策略解决诉讼的尝试宣告失败。
强生此前曾两次试图通过子公司破产来解决相关诉讼，但均被法院驳回。此次主审法官洛佩兹明确指出，该公司“本就不应进入破产程序”。“这一决定虽不轻松，但正确无疑。”他在裁决书中写道。
洛佩兹指出，强生的和解方案未获得足够多患癌女性的支持，且过度豁免了未申请破产实体的法律责任，包括强生产品经销商及2023年分拆的消费者健康业务Kenvue。他认为方案存在太多漏洞，难以通过破产程序修补。
强生在声明中表示不会上诉，但也拒绝继续和解，称将“回归侵权法体系，通过诉讼推翻这些无根据的指控”。反对该和解方案的原告律师安迪·伯奇菲尔德批评称，强生的破产策略是“逃避责任的恶意手段”。
