Shares of BDV Education International (HKG:1082) surged 6.67% on Wednesday, bolstered by the company's latest moves to tap into the burgeoning artificial intelligence (AI) education market.
In a major development, BDV Education established a new subsidiary, Bradaverse Education (Shenzhen), in the tech hub of Shenzhen. The company also inked a far-reaching framework cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Futian District Institute of Education Science and the AI Education Research Center of Southern University of Science and Technology.
Under this agreement, the parties will jointly promote AI education, develop AI-powered teaching applications and scenarios, create an AI teacher competency framework, and explore novel ways to leverage AI in education. They also aim to establish a comprehensive AI education demonstration platform and initiatives like the Kunpeng Science Fiction Literature Award.
