Hong Kong Stocks Closed Higher, BIDU-SW Surged Over 12%, WUXI APPTEC Rose Over 10%

On March 18, 2025, the Hong Kong stock market closed higher. The Hang Seng Index rose by 2.46%, the Hang Seng Tech Index surged by 3.96%.


In terms of sectors, the Hong Kong pharmaceutical stocks experienced a significant surge. WUXI APPTEC rose by 10.54% after reporting a net profit of 2.917 billion yuan in the fourth quarter of last year, showing a 27.21% quarter-on-quarter increase. ALPHAMAB soared by 25%, WUXI XDC went up by 12%.

Hong Kong's popular tech stocks also performed well. BIDU-SW surged by 12.22%, XIAOMI-W increased by 3.32% following the announcement by CEO Lei Jun that Xiaomi has delivered its 200,000th car, highlighting the success of Xiaomi's entry into the automotive industry.

BYD COMPANY saw a 4.10% increase after releasing its Super e-Platform technology and announcing the pre-sale of new models Han L and Tang L. DOBOT experienced a significant rise of 27.88% after launching the world's first full-size humanoid robot, Dobot Atom, priced at 199,000 yuan.
