韩国SK电信公司周二表示，将向美国人工智能（AI）数据中心解决方案提供商Smart Global Holdings （SGH）投资2亿美元。这是SK电信迄今为止在AI领域的最大一笔投资。
SK电信表示，已与SGH签署了收购20万股优先股（约10%股份）的协议，之后将转换为普通股。
通过这笔投资，两家公司将在AI基础设施业务方面进行合作，包括建设和运营数据中心。
SGH创办于1988年，是AIDC解决方案的领先设计师和开发商。去年，该公司为Meta创建了一个大规模的AI集群。
该公司于2017年在纳斯达克综合指数上市，去年的年收入为14.2亿美元。
SK电信方面表示，此次投资是为了进军全球AI数据中心市场。该公司还计划在今年晚些时候与SGH签署进一步的合作协议，以深化在AIDC、边缘人工智能、未来存储器解决方案等人工智能基础设施业务方面的合作。
