Market Chatter: Geely Automobile in the Hunt for Europe Plant Locations
Geely Automobile (HKG:0175) is exploring locations to set up a plant in Europe, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing Nicolas Appelgren, Europe CEO for Geely's Lynk & Co brand.
However, Li Chuanhai, vice president of Geely Auto Group, said it is "not 100% yet" on whether it would build a plant in Europe, according to the report.
When asked about talks over a joint electric vehicle plant in Poland, in which Polish officials said they don't view the Chinese carmaker as an ideal partner, Li declined to give additional details but said "we have a lot of possibilities," Reuters wrote.
