South Korea to Lead IPEF's Supply Chain Emergency Response Drill in US
Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) partner countries will carry out a mock drill on Friday in Washington D.C., US, to simulate a supply chain emergency response, South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Thursday.
The drill, to be led by South Korea, will help IPEF countries understand the mechanism of the Crisis Response Network (CRN), a supply chain emergency response platform, and identify vulnerabilities and potential improvements.
This mock training will assess the 14 partner countries' supply chain and test feasible measures before an actual emergency.
CRN was established under the IPEF to boost cooperation during supply chain disruptions. South Korea was elected as the inaugural chair of the CRN.
