Prudent Corporate Advisory Services (NSE:PRUDENT, BOM:543527) has decided to discontinue its non-operational commodity business, citing is failure to generate revenue, according to a Tuesday filing to the stock exchanges.
The decision follows the merger of Prudent Broking Services with Prudent Corporate Advisory Services, effective from Aug. 30, the filing said.
Accordingly, the Prudent Corporate Advisory will apply for the surrender of the memberships held by the Prudent Broking in various exchanges, including Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation (MCXCCL), National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), and Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI).
The surrender of the memberships is not expected to have any material, financial or operational impact on the company.
