China Coal Energy's Commercial Coal Sales Decline, Output Inches Up in August

China Coal Energy (SHA:601898, HKG:1898) reported sales volume of commercial coal of 23.9 million tons in August, down from 24.3 million tons the prior year.

Commercial coal output inched up year over year to 11.8 million tons from 11.7 million tons, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse

From January to August, commercial coal sales declined year over year to 180.9 million tons from 194.0 million tons and output ticked up to 90.4 million tons from 90.3 million tons.

Shares of China Coal Energy rose 1% in recent trade.
