Australian Federal Court Approves Base Resources Acquisition by Energy Fuels Subsidiary
Australia's Federal Court approved on Thursday the acquisition of Africa-focused mineral sands producer and developer Base Resources (ASX:BSE) by a subsidiary of Energy Fuels via a scheme of arrangement, according to a same-day filing with the Australian bourse.
Base Resources expects to lodge the court's orders with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission on Friday, making the scheme effective, the filing stated.
The company will pay a special dividend of AU$0.065 per share on Oct. 1 to shareholders on record as of Sept. 18, subject to the scheme becoming effective, according to the filing.
