Knowles to Sell Consumer MEM Microphones Unit to Syntiant for $150 Million

AI equipment company Syntiant said Thursday it signed a deal to acquire certain assets of Knowles' (KN) consumer micro-electro-mechanical systems microphones business.

Syntiant said it will pay $150 million in cash and equity for the consumer MEM microphones business. The transaction is expected to close in Q4.

Knowles' shares were down 3.6% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
