Bank of New York Mellon Appeals Dismissal of Winding-up Petition Against XJ International

The London branch of the Bank of New York Mellon has appealed the dismissal of a winding-up petition it filed against XJ International (HKG:1765), a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The Hong Kong High Court is yet to fix a date to hear the appeal, according to the filing.

The appeal, which had been filed by the petitioner in March over the alleged failure to pay the outstanding $324.7 million bonds, was dismissed by the court on Aug. 28.

Shares of the company closed over 2% higher on Tuesday.
