BlockBeats 消息，9 月 17 日，据 The Block 报道，Web3 通信协议 WalletConnect 将在 Optimism 上推出其原生代币 WCT。WalletConnect 表示，WCT 空投的注册将于 9 月 24 日开放，空投资格基于 WalletConnect 网络的使用情况。
WalletConnect 首席执行官 Houlgrave 表示，WCT 代币的初始供应量上限为 10 亿枚，其中 18.5% 即 1.85 亿枚代币将分配给第一季空投。Houlgrave 表示，此次空投将涵盖 WalletConnect 的终端用户，以及为 WalletConnect 成功做出贡献的钱包、应用程序、节点、软件开发工具包和社区。
