TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received 2,975 gratification reports with 3,463 objects of gratification throughout 2024 until today, Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

“Out of these, as many as 1,273 objects of gratification are seized, with 576 in the form of goods and 679 in the form of money,” said KPK spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, in a written statement on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Budi, the seized objects of gratification that have been determined as state property are worth Rp6,026,809,284, namely in the form of goods worth Rp624,043,850 and in the form of money Rp5,402,765,434 (Rp5.4 billion).

KPK analyzed each object of gratification reported within 30 working days to then determine its status. "Whether it belongs to the state or to the reporter. The team also conducts an analysis to determine the rupiah value of the goods," he said.

The objects of gratification which are declared as state property are then submitted to the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance to be auctioned. The results of the auction are then deposited into the state treasury as Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).

On the other hand, continued Budi, reporters who wish to resume ownership of goods or facilities that have been determined as state property can replace them with some rupiah values determined by the anti-corruption agency.

Furthermore, KPK advises civil servants (ASN), state administrators, or related parties, to reject gratification, especially if the goods or money could give rise to a conflict of interest.

"However, if in certain situations the gratification cannot be rejected, KPK urges them to actively report the gratification to KPK,” he said.
