智通财经APP获悉，美国零售巨头梅西百货(M.US)宣布，计划在即将到来的假日季节招聘超过3.15万名全职和兼职员工，比去年的约3.8万名员工和2022年的约4.1万名员工有所减少。
此举反映了美国零售业的整体趋势。由于就业市场走软，加上消费者支出谨慎，预计美国零售商将减少招聘季节性员工。
德勤报告显示，由于通胀和消费者储蓄减少，美国假日季销售额预计将以六年来最慢的速度增长。报告称，在2024年11月至2025年1月期间，假日季零售额可能增长2.3%至3.3%，总额预计最高达到1.59万亿美元，相比之下，上年的增幅为4.3%，总额为1.54万亿美元。2018年销售额增长3.1%。
截至发稿，梅西百货盘前涨0.13%。今年以来，该股累计下跌22%。
