New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority (FMA) filed proceedings against a former Heartland Group (NZE:HGH, ASX:HGH) employee over alleged insider trading in the company's shares, according to a Tuesday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
The matters relate to alleged events in 2020 and 2021, and Heartland Group and Heartland Bank are not parties to the proceedings.
The former Heartland Bank employee appeared in the district court of Auckland, New Zealand on Tuesday, the filing stated. The company has cooperated with the FMA in its investigation.
The company's shares were down almost 1% in recent Tuesday trade in New Zealand.
