Q & M Dental Group (Singapore) (SGX:QC7) unit Acumen Diagnostics temporarily ceased operations of its clinical laboratory as its license expired, according to a Monday filing on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) notified Acumen that its existing license, held by Ong Siew Hwa, expired Sept 15.
The ministry rejected the application to transfer the license to Acumen and to appoint Lua Chong Hui Joseph as principal officer, citing that such changes are not permitted under the current license.
To continue providing clinical laboratory services, Acumen must apply for a new license. It has temporarily halted operations related to the license and is considering applying for a new one.
The board will assess the financial impact on the group for the year ending Dec. 31, 2024.
