Microsoft (MSFT) said Monday it extended a partnership with Vodafone (VOD) under which the latter will roll out Microsoft's artificial intelligence-powered assistant to thousands of its employees.
Vodafone plans to roll out the Microsoft 365 Copilot AI software to up to 68,000 employees across multiple countries to "improve productivity, innovation, and digital efficiency."
The two companies previously entered into a 10-year strategic partnership in January which saw Vodafone utilize Microsoft's generative AI technology to power a customer service chatbot.
Vodafone previously said it was planning to invest $1.5 billion over the next 10 years to develop cloud and customer-focused AI services in collaboration with Microsoft.
