消息面上，北控水务集团此前发布中期业绩，营业收入113.09亿元人民币，同比减少6.41%；股东应占溢利11.22亿元，同比减少18.08%；拟派发中期股息每股7港仙，同比持平，派息率为60%。国泰君安指出，公司为产能规模全国第一的水处理行业龙头，污水和供水业务稳健增长；资本开支进入下行周期，现金流改善，稳定高分红，高股息特征明显，有望迎来价值重估。
此外，美联储近期宣布降息50个基点。花旗此前表示，预计减息周期有利香港公用股，后者股价历史上与美国国债收益率具高关连度。该行指出，在美国十年期国债收益率处3.9%水平下，该行认为预测今年收益率逾5%而具高盈利可见度的股份具吸引力，包括北控水务等。
