CK Hutchison Holdings (HKG:0001) shareholders will meet in Hong Kong on Oct. 17 to vote on a joint venture with UK mobile communications operator Vodafone, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The agreement will see both CK Hutchinson's Three UK and Vodafone merge their operations in the UK to become Vodafone UK Trading Holdings.
The new JV will be valued at about 7 billion pounds, with Vodafone owning 51% while Hutchinson holding 49%, according to a joint release last year.
UK antitrust officials cleared the merger of national security issues back in May, according to a report by tech news portal Fierce Network.
Talks have been taking place between the two companies as early as 2022.
