Comtech Telecommunications' (CMTL) former Chief Executive Michael Porcelain said Monday he has nominated eight director candidates for election to the company's board at the upcoming annual meeting.
Porcelain's nominees were mentioned in an open letter that he and another former Comtech CEO, Fred Kornberg, sent to fellow Comtech stockholders.
Porcelain and Kornberg were among the nominees, who collectively own a 7.6% stake in the company, according to a statement.
They said that if elected, the nominees intend to pursue an evaluation of strategic options for the company's 911 Public Safety business, the appointment of an external CEO and chief operating officer and other initiatives.
The company didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
