【微软计划合作重启美国三里岛核电站，通过无碳能源支持AI业务】金色财经报道，微软已经与三里岛核电站的所有者 Constellation Energy Corporation 签署了一项为期 20 年的协议，将修复三里岛 1 号反应堆，以设立“起重机清洁能源中心（Crane Clean Energy Center）”，这是这家科技巨头致力于通过无碳能源为其人工智能业务提供动力的一部分举措。 作为协议的一部分，Constellation Energy 将向微软提供 835 兆瓦的电力，并花费约 16 亿美元使该设施上线，计划在 2028 年实现这一目标。在恢复运营之前，该交易仍必须得到核管理委员会（NRC）、州官员和地方当局的批准。 据悉，三里岛核电站坐落于美国宾夕法尼亚州萨斯奎哈纳河附近，于 1979 年 3 月 28 日发生堆芯熔毁事故，在国际核事件分级的 7 级系统中，本次事故被评为第 5 级。 三里岛核泄漏事故是美国至今最为严重的核事故，但与之后发生的切尔诺贝利核能电厂事故与福岛第一核电站事故相比，三里岛核泄漏事故仍然在可以控制的范围内。
