日本自民党总裁选举结果支持了大华银行经济学家的观点，即日本央行将继续走政策正常化道路。大华银行经济学家Alvin Liew在一份研报中写道，日本前防卫大臣石破茂在选举中获胜将被视为对日本央行行长植田和男的支持，因为石破茂曾表示支持货币政策正常化。预计石破茂将成为日本新一任首相。“日本央行真正担心的是，如果央行再次加息，市场可能会出现较大波动，”Liew说。大华银行仍预计日本央行将继续走在加息轨道上，尽管这可能不是一个连续的周期，而且加息幅度可能有限。大华银行预计日本央行将在第四季度将利率上调25个基点，至0.50%，并认为这将是终端利率。
