0117 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index falls 0.5% to 3604.11 on possible position adjustments by investors. The local equity market may also be weighed by disappointing U.S. economic data released overnight when the Conference Board said its index of consumer confidence fell to a three-month low in September. Among the worst performers on the benchmark index, UOB loses 1.0%, Singapore Telecommunications drops 0.9%, and Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust is down 0.9%. Meanwhile, Seatrium rises 1.15%, Sembcorp Industries adds 0.7%, and SATS Ltd. is up 0.8%. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
