Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) subsidiary Samsung Display plans to build an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) factory in Vietnam and signed a memorandum of understanding with the People's Committee in the Bắc Ninh province.
Samsung Display will invest up to 2.4 trillion won in the factory, which will be built near the Yen Phong Industrial Park, Pulse News reported Tuesday.
Shares of Samsung Electronics rose nearly 1% in recent trade.
