TURIN, Italy, Sept 26 (Reuters) - ChatGPT-maker OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said on Thursday the recent departure of top executives from the company had nothing to do with its planned restructuring.

OpenAI's longtime chief technology officer Mira Murati abruptly announced her departure from the company on Wednesday. Greg Brockman, OpenAI's president, has also been on leave.

On Wednesday Reuters reported OpenAI was working on a plan to restructure its core business into a for-profit benefit corporation that will no longer be controlled by its non-profit board, in a move aimed at making the company more attractive to investors.
