AGL Energy Agrees to Supply Extra 287 Megawatts of Electricity to Alcoa Aluminum Smelter in Victoria, Australia

AGL Energy (ASX:AGL) agreed to supply an extra 287 megawatts of electricity to Alcoa's Portland aluminum smelter joint venture in Victoria, Australia until June 20, 2035, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The agreement starts July 1, 2026, and allows for an option to replace up to 30% of the contracted volume with a renewable power purchase agreement with AGL, the filing stated.
