New Age Exploration (ASX:NAE) reported multiple intercepts of gold mineralization following its maiden air core drill program at the Wagyu project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Significant intercepts include 3 meters at 2.2 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from 24 meters and 1 meter at 1.5 g/t of gold from 39 meters, the filing stated. The mineral explorer also detected silver, with 10 mineralized intercepts confirmed.
The second phase of drilling is underway, per the filing.
New Age Exploration's shares were down nearly 17% in recent Tuesday trade.
