Prudential (SGX:K6S, HKG:2378) repurchased 400,000 shares in London at an average price of about 6.99 pounds sterling per share on Tuesday, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The company also repurchased 600,000 shares in London at an average price of about 6.92 pounds sterling per share on Monday, according to a separate Tuesday filing.
The filing said that upon cancellation of the purchased shares, the company will have 2,703,577,492 shares in issue.
