SK Innovation's (KRX:096770) lubricant subsidiary SK Enmove signed a supply agreement for iodine with Chilean iodine producer SQM on Thursday, SK Enmove said in a same-day release.
The iodine procured will be used to develop advanced automotive refrigerants. Details concerning the timing and quantities of the supply will be finalized after the definitive agreement is in place, the release said.
Shares of SK Innovation rose nearly 1% in recent trade.
