智通财经APP获悉，据媒体报道，激进投资者Starboard Value收购了辉瑞(PFE.US)约10亿美元股份，截至发稿，该股周一盘前上涨近3%。据报道，Starboard已与辉瑞前首席执行官伊恩•里德(Ian Read)和前首席财务官弗兰克•达梅里奥(Frank D’Amelio)接洽以协助其改善公司业绩的计划。
据了解，该对冲基金认为，于2019年从里德手中接任辉瑞的现任首席执行官阿尔伯特·布拉(Albert bourla)缺乏前任CEO的并购纪律。自布拉上任以来，辉瑞斥资数十亿美元收购了一些生产抗癌药物的公司，其中包括去年斥资430亿美元收购生物技术公司Seagen。
自2021年疫情高峰期以来，由于对COVID-19疫苗的需求大幅下降，辉瑞股价几乎下跌了一半。2024年辉瑞股价变化不大，但同期标普500指数上涨了21%。
报道发布后，辉瑞股价上涨了约3%。由于担心镰状细胞病药物可能导致患者严重疼痛甚至死亡，该公司最近在全球范围内大量召回该药物，近期股价受到了一定打击。
